Job summary

BAMSI in Hanson, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor MAP to provide rehabilitative support to adults in group living environments, helping develop daily living and community integration skills under clinician guidance.

Responsibilities include teaching ADLs, implementing treatment plans, supervising medications per MAP guidelines, transporting residents to appointments, advocating for residents, and maintaining a safe, orderly home with timely documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong English communication and basic computer skills.
• Compassion, patience, and trauma-informed care.
• Bonus: lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
