Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York is hiring a Residential Counselor in Staten Island, NY. This full-time, non-exempt role supports residents in developing life skills and managing daily activities as outlined in comprehensive service plans.

You will document services, assist with crisis response, and collaborate with program staff to ensure quality care. Responsibilities include case management, service-plan implementation, and facilitating residents' progress toward

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience helping individuals with serious mental illness or similar population preferred.
• Experience with providing security is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide case management services to all assigned residents.
• Implement individual service plans to assist residents in attaining rehabilitation goals.
• Offer instruction and service delivery in multiple service categories to help residents develop daily living skills (grooming, dressing, meal planning, medication, budgeting).
• Document all services and interactions in residents' case records and maintain records with required documentation.
• Engage residents in regular discussions around goals and evaluation of services received.
• Provide ongoing counseling support to residents as needed.
