Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York is seeking a Residential Counselor for a full-time role at the Staten Island Community Residence. You will implement service plans, provide case management, and support residents in learning life skills and achieving rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities include documenting services, coordinating with other service providers, and assisting with daily living activities while maintaining safe, respectful, and supportive interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience helping individuals with serious mental illness or similar population preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services to all assigned residents.
• Implement individual service plans to assist residents in rehabilitation goals.
• Assist with daily living skills and provide guidance and support.
• Document services and interactions in residents' case records.
• Engage residents in discussions about goals and service evaluation.
• Provide counseling support as needed.
• Draft and discuss the residents' comprehensive service plan.
