D.R. Horton is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site for new home construction, coordinating subcontractors from permit to closing and ensuring high quality and customer service.

The ideal candidate will read and interpret construction documents, schedule trades, oversee warranty and post-close activities, and maintain safety and compliance across communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to four years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and willing to travel between communities.
• Knowledge of building codes and permits.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and costs.
• Proficiency with DRH Construction applications.

Responsabilités

• Manage construction schedule and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Schedule subcontractors and evaluate quality for compliance.
• Complete homes from planning to occupancy and satisfy contract obligations.
• Inspect subcontractor workmanship and halt noncompliant work.
• Authorize subcontractor payments after inspections.
• Manage customer experience throughout construction process.
• Maintain site cleanliness and safety.
• Oversee post-close warranty processes and scheduling.
• Communicate progress and address homeowner concerns.
• Maintain knowledge of building codes.
• Collaborate with sales and management for issue resolution.
• Work additional hours as needed.
