Job summary

National Children's Center, Inc. in Washington, DC, is seeking a Residential House Manager to oversee safety, welfare, and the plan of care for residents in our supervised homes. This full-time role requires on-call availability and seamless collaboration with nursing and program staff.

You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, arrange training, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining a person-centered, supportive environment for individuals served.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Two years of experience working with people with disabilities.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• High School diploma or GED with two years of cumulative experience.
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) with emphasis on Human Services is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Psychology or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of residents and implement an approved plan of care.
• Supervise Direct Support Professionals and coordinate training.
• Maintain on-call availability and coordinate medical appointments with nursing and medical staff.
• Promote person-centered care and maintain a safe, clean residential environment.
• Administer medications as needed and ensure accurate medication procedures.
• Complete staff schedules and payroll for assigned staff and assist with monitoring and audits.

Skills
