The Verland Foundation Inc. in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Residential Manager to oversee daily operations of its residential locations and supervise direct care staff. This salaried, exempt role requires on-call availability 24/7 and a focus on high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

Location: Squirrel Hill, PA 15217. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a background in Human Services or related fields. Must have a valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of residential care practices and IDD
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• CPR/First Aid certification required or obtainable

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the home to ensure programs and activities are carried out and documented across all shifts
• Plan, organize, and direct house operations while reinforcing care hierarchy and agency expectations
• Supervise staff and ensure implementation of individual programs
• Monitor staff performance and report findings to supervisors
• Ensure safety and well-being of residents and compliance with regulations
• Maintain accurate incident reporting and documentation
• Participate in community activities and coordinate transportation and medical visits
• Train and supervise new staff; conduct training and evaluations
• Ensure menus and doctor-prescribed diets are followed; manage groceries
