Job summary

Abode Services in San Jose, CA seeks a Resident Services Coordinator to provide housing stabilization services to homeless and low-income households, including counseling, referrals, and individualized housing plans.

You will build partnerships with providers, manage case files, and support residents' path to permanent housing while coordinating with property management and other community services. This role is on-site with occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Sociology, or related field.
• 1 year of case management experience providing services to homeless or low-income individuals and/or families.
• Use of personal vehicles and proof of valid California Driver's License and current auto insurance, along with a clean DMV record.

Responsibilities

• Develop a community calendar of educational, recreational and civic engagement activities and events.
• Collaborate with service providers and community agencies; maintain a positive relationship with the surrounding neighborhood.
• Assist residents in retaining housing and maximizing independence by linking to community services.
• Maintain and secure comprehensive case files and prepare programmatic reports as required.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed and when requested by management or participants.
