Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field preferred; 5+ years of experience in the field.
• One year of experience developing, organizing and implementing group activities/workshops.
• Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.
• Extensive experience in coaching, counseling and problem solving.
• Compassionate, supportive, emotionally mature professional, able to manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of public benefits and screening for eligibility.
• Experience with on-site Property Management to promote housing stabilization.
• Familiarity with neighborhood resources and community context.
• Strong communication with residents, families and vendors.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to work a demanding and flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake, orientation, and needs assessment; create service plans.
• Provide direct services such as case management, information/referrals, translation.
• Document case notes, referrals, service plans and outcomes.
• Develop cooperative networks with government and social service agencies.
• Advocate for residents with service agencies and management.
• Promote healthy community through activities and groups.
• Plan on-site and off-site social/recreational events.
• Support Residents Council development and leadership.
• Submit timesheets and allocate hours to funding sources.
• Maintain resident files and program paperwork.
• Assist in grant applications as needed.
• Conduct surveys to assess needs and plan services.
• Create monthly events calendar and outreach materials.
