Job summary

Housing Opportunities Unlimited in Philadelphia is seeking a Resident Relocation Coordinator to oversee daily relocation tasks across multiple sites and work closely with residents to prepare and assist with relocation activities.

You will coordinate with clients and third-party vendors, manage data and reporting, and ensure compliance with regulations while delivering compassionate support and clear communication throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; relevant relocation/social services experience valued.
• Experience coordinating with clients, vendors, and residents is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.
• Ability to multitask across sites and projects while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site setup activities including office organization and vendor identification.
• Survey residents to understand relocation needs and preferences.
• Inventory tenant belongings and note large furniture, infestation, or clutter issues.
• Facilitate resident/community meetings to discuss relocation rights and benefits.
• Prepare notices for relocation and track receipt confirmations.
• Provide relocation counseling in line with regulations and plan.
• Coordinate with property management, clients, and moving contractors.
• Create weekly/monthly reports for clients and management teams.
• Maintain relocation files, data tracking, and lottery lists.
• Schedule and supervise moves; ensure units meet standards before turnover.
• Update stakeholders regularly and assist with claims handling as needed.
• Communicate with residents' families and service providers to ensure seamless service.
