Job summary

Housing Opportunities Unlimited seeks a Resident Mobility Counselor to oversee relocation tasks at multiple sites and work with residents to prepare for relocations. The role involves coordinating vendors, processing documents, and providing counseling to ensure compliant relocations.

The position requires experience in relocation or social services, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is a must, but Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Experience in relocation services, social services, customer service, or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with state and government rental assistance housing voucher programs.
• Provide verbal interpretation and translations if residents require language accommodations.
• Must have excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with annual recertifications and maintaining lease compliance.
• Follow up on lease violations and provide guidance on resolving issues.
• Coordinate relocation activities ensuring smooth transitions and operational efficiency.
• Survey residents to understand relocation needs and preferences; take inventory of belongings.
• Prepare notices and provide relocation counseling in compliance with regulations.
