Job summary

Abode Property Management seeks an Assistant Property Manager to support Resident Relations and Site Operations in Santa Cruz County. The role emphasizes trauma-informed engagement, ensuring habitability, and coordinating daily tasks with staff and service providers.

You will help with vendor coordination, unit turnover readiness, and safety compliance while assisting with administrative duties and resident documentation. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or training preferred.
• 1-2 years of property management experience or related affordable/supportive housing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with complex housing or service needs.
• Reliable transportation or access to a vehicle required to work in-office and at sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building positive, professional relationships with residents using trauma-informed engagement.
• Respond to resident concerns and habitability issues in coordination with supervisors and service providers.
• Support residents in understanding lease requirements and community expectations.
• Assist with housing retention efforts and site operations including maintenance coordination and documentation.
• Coordinate on-site staff tasks and vendor activities; do not make personnel decisions.
