Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality, and maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen.

You’ll assist with inventory, interact with residents and staff, and handle daily duties. A high school diploma and food-prep experience are preferred; ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must meet COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May be required to complete a sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
