Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure meals meet planned menus, taste, and presentation while following safety standards and sanitation guidelines.

In this role you will collaborate with staff and residents to provide positive dining experiences, assist with inventory, and handle daily kitchen duties. The position requires a high school diploma and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred.
• Able to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with occupants, staff, and leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May need to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification per state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
