Job summary

KNAPP in Orlando, FL is seeking a Resident Maintenance Technician to support automated storage and retrieval systems and precision automation equipment at the Customer site. You will apply electro‑mechanical expertise to diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement of system reliability.

The role requires strong documentation, effective communication with Customer staff, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Automation
• 0–3 years direct experience in machinery repairs
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems incl. 480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, 48VDC, 24VDC, VFDs and PLCs (Siemens preferred)
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/German preferred

Responsibilities

• Rectify electro‑mechanical faults and provide specialist maintenance support
• Respond to emergency calls by Customer
• Set up and calibrate precision automation equipment
• Train customer’s maintenance team as required
• Maintain safe working practices and write clear reports
