Job summary

KNAPP is seeking a Resident Engineer to provide first-class maintenance support for automated storage and retrieval systems at customer sites. You will apply electrical and mechanical expertise to maximize equipment utilization and drive uptime.

You will develop and implement processes to maintain functional performance, handle electro-mechanical faults, and respond to emergencies with a focus on safety and first-time right repair.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation or related field.
3+ years direct experience preferred.
Experience in repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of PLC-based machinery, highly automated and robotic equipment.

Responsibilities

Investigate and rectify electro-mechanical faults and provide preventative measures.
Provide emergency breakdown and specialist engineering support.
Install and calibrate automation equipment and analyze test results.
Monitor systems and ensure proper operation at customer sites.
Perform mechanical strip-down and re-assembly; wire and calibrate machinery.
