Job summary

Ohio Living is seeking an Activities Assistant to support engaging programs for residents at Mount Pleasant. You will help plan and run activities that promote physical, mental, and social well-being, and build meaningful interactions with residents and their families.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, assisting with crafts, maintaining activity logs, and helping with care plans while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year activities experience preferred.
• Two years experience in a long-term care, hospital, or other related healthcare setting preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide programming to meet residents' interests and well-being.
• Encourage residents to participate in hobbies and crafts.
• Assist bed-bound residents with visits and materials for hobbies.
• Coordinate scheduled parties, movies, and games for various levels of care.
• Develop and oversee written plans of care and document progress notes.
• Maintain charts and documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Attend meetings and in-service trainings as scheduled.
