Job summary

Camden is seeking a friendly Maintenance Technician to handle service requests for our apartment community in Raleigh, NC. You will work on make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance and preventative tasks while delivering outstanding customer service to residents and guests.

You will coordinate with the maintenance team, perform electrical, plumbing and general repairs, and ensure safety and quality in all tasks. Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment industry.
• High School Diploma preferred; certification from an accredited trade school highly desired.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills as it relates to apartment maintenance.
• Handle tile work, carpentry repairs and all facets of the make-ready process.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and all other systems at the community.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests promptly.
• Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and report or fix them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and perform needed repairs.
• Maintain community appearance and perform basic repairs.
• Document service requests and maintenance in Onesite.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, notices distribution, inspections, and other tasks.
