Job summary

Camden Property Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle community maintenance requests, prepare vacants for move-ins, and support groundskeeping, pool upkeep, and housekeeping. You will liaise with residents and vendors to deliver exceptional service and safety-focused maintenance.

You’ll perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks while coordinating with the maintenance team and supervisor to prioritize daily work. A valid license and flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience in apartment settings.
• High School Diploma preferred; trade school certification highly desired.
• EPA Type I, II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Able to perform make-readies and repairs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests promptly.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and report or fix them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete repairs.
• Ensure community appearance; replace lightbulbs, remove trash.
• Document service requests and make-readies in Onesite.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping and inspections.
