Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience in a community setting.
• High School Diploma preferred; trade school certification highly desired.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Ability to perform tile work and carpentry repairs.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Must have dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to work weekends/holidays and participate in on-call rotation.
• Read/write in English at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and correct them or report to the supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete repairs.
• Maintain community appearance: replace bulbs, remove trash, paint, and perform repairs.
• Accurately log service requests and make-readies in Onesite.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, notices distribution, and inspections.
