Job summary

Camden Property Trust is seeking a Leasing Consultant in Rockville, MD. You will be the first impression for residents, guiding tours, closing leases, and ensuring a standout move-in experience.

The role emphasizes customer service, communication, and relationship-building to meet occupancy and retention targets. You’ll showcase community features, manage renewals, and contribute to marketing efforts while coordinating with team members on events and tenant needs.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in sales, hospitality and/or customer service.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Meet or exceed sales and customer service goals.
• Work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Leasing and/or property management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OneSite and Yield Star preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the leasing process from tour to move-in including closing the sale and processing lease documents.
• Inspect units to ensure a great move-in experience for residents.
• Showcase community features aligned to customer needs.
• Maintain customer-focused attitude to ensure smooth renewals.
• Develop creative marketing and social media strategies to increase traffic.
• Support occupancy and retention by following up with residents.
• Use problem-solving skills to handle unpredictable situations.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the community and competitors.
• Assist in planning resident events and other projects as needed.
