Job summary

Southern Management Co. is seeking a Resident Relation Manager in Annandale, VA to deliver outstanding resident services and develop retention programs.

You will build strong relationships with residents, team members and local organizations, coordinate information dissemination, and help drive community initiatives. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on creating a positive living environment and engaging residents in programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years in property management or related supervisory role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve turnover goals by developing and implementing a proactive resident retention program.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local government and community organizations.
• Coordinate dissemination of general community information to residents.
• Oversee service request follow-up and community room reservations to meet revenue goals.
• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, and management of the team.
• Aid in preparation of annual budget and community plans.
• Respond in emergency situations as needed.
• Stay informed about industry trends.
• Foster a positive work culture and contribute to engagement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor.
