Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Community/Assistant Community Manager to support operations, leasing, reporting, and resident services across our properties. The role emphasizes professionalism, strong communication, and a customer-focused mindset to enhance resident satisfaction and retention.

You will assist with rent processing, marketing, and coordinating staff in the Community Manager’s absence while upholding VIHTC/Tax Credit requirements and Fair Housing standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit Program Knowledge required.
• Excellent communication skills and dedication to customer service.
• Solid bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Thorough understanding of landlord/tenant law.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing Laws.
• Superior interpersonal skills and adaptability.
• Resourceful and organized; proficient with Windows, Word/Excel, email.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident relations and provide exceptional customer service to promote satisfaction and retention.
• Serve as a resource for residents on community-related matters affecting their living experience and rent payments.
• Organize resident appreciation events and maintain confidential files.
• Assist with leasing duties, including tours of prospective residents.
• Handle community income, deposits, and delinquency collections in accordance with leases.
• Support monthly projections, inspect vacancies, and oversee property operations in the Community Manager’s absence.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing guidelines and company policies.
