Job summary

Avanath is seeking an experienced Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations across leasing, reporting, rent processing, and marketing at our communities in Portland. You will oversee staff in the Community Manager’s absence and ensure compliance with LIHTC rules and Fair Housing.

You will build resident relationships, handle inquiries, promote retention events, and maintain confidential resident files while coordinating with vendors and regulatory partners for a positive living

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as an Assistant Community Manager.
• LIHTC/Tax Credit program knowledge required.
• Excellent communication and customer service dedication.
• Solid bookkeeping and rent collection experience.
• Strong understanding of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident relations and timely issue resolution.
• Assist leasing duties including tours and applications.
• Handle rent processing, reporting, and community finances.
• Oversee staff in Community Manager’s absence.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and ADA regulations.
• Maintain files, policy adherence, and compliance documentation.
