Job summary

The Village of St. Edward on the Green Campus is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant/STNA to provide personal care for residents under nurse direction.

This full-time role features 12-hour day shifts (7:00 am–7:30 pm) and alternating weekends and holidays in a caring, community-focused environment. Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• STNA certification required if hired as a STNA.
• Experience in an assisted living facility preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently and 50+ pounds with assistance.
• Must understand infection control practices.
• Ability to communicate professionally and with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Provide for residents' personal care needs and assist with activities as delegated by the nurse.
• Assist with daily living tasks and promote resident comfort and safety.
• Respond to emergencies as needed and collaborate with the care team.

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Resident Assistant/STNA (Caregiver) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent
• Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA (if hired as a STNA)
• Experience within assisted living facility preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
