Job summary

The Village of St. Edward invites compassionate STNA (Caregiver) candidates to join our PRN team at the Fairlawn Campus, an assisted living/memory care facility. You will aid residents with daily personal care and participate in activities as directed by licensed nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant (STNA) preferred if hired as a STNA.
• Experience within assisted living facility preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provides for the personal care needs of residents.
• Provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.
• Supports residents with daily living tasks and comfort measures.
• Monitors residents for changes and communicates with the care team.

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Resident Assistant/STNA (Caregiver) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements
