Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking a Resident Assistant/STNA to provide personal care and assist residents in a compassionate, Christ-centered setting on our Green Campus.

You will work the afternoon shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM), 32 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday, in a supportive team environment. Requirements include Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant (STNA) if hired as a STNA, high school education or equivalent, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• STNA certification if hired as a STNA.
• Experience in an assisted living facility preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.

• Provide personal care for residents and assist with activities as delegated by the nurse.

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Resident Assistant/STNA (Caregiver) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA (if hired as a STNA)
• Experience within assisted living facility preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
