Job summary

The Village of St. Edward in Wadsworth, OH is seeking a STNA/Resident Assistant Caregiver for 3pm-11:30pm shifts (8-32 hours per week available) in our Assisted Living/Memory Care facility.

New rates with great shift differential pay! You will provide personal care and activities as delegated by the nurse, maintaining a compassionate, Christ-centered environment that values dignity and respect for residents.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA.
• Experience in assisted living or memory care preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and more with assistance.
• Ability to communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.
• Must understand infection control and emergency response procedures.

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the STNA/Resident Assistant Caregiver provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent
• Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA (if hired as a STNA)
• Experience within assisted living or memory care facility preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
• Some positions may require every other weekend / every other holiday rotation
