Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking a STNA (Caregiver) to join the Fairlawn Campus, an assisted living/memory care facility.

This PRN position requires flexible and consistent availability to support residents with personal care tasks and activities delegated by the nurse. Candidates should have a high school education or equivalent, Ohio STNA certification if hired as STNA, and the ability to lift and assist residents.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ohio STNA certification required if hired as STNA.
• Experience in assisted living preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to lift, push and pull 50 lb independently; over 50 lb with assistance.
• Dexterity for feeding, bathing, and related tasks.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
• Stand, walk, and sit intermittently throughout the day.
• Understand infection control practices.
• Therapeutic communication skills.

Responsibilities

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Resident Assistant/STNA (Caregiver) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA (if hired as a STNA)
• Experience within assisted living facility preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
