Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is a not-for-profit organization providing Christ-centered care and a compassionate community. We are seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant/ STNA Caregiver for the Green Campus (Assisted Living/Memory Care) with a full-time day shift schedule.

The role includes 36 hours per week, 12 hour shifts from 7am to 7:30pm, and alternating weekends/holidays. We offer a supportive team environment, competitive wages based on experience, and generous benefits including

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• STNA certification if hired as STNA.
• Experience in an assisted living facility preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must lift/pull 50 pounds and assist residents as needed.
• Must communicate professionally with empathy.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Prepared to respond in emergency situations.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Resident Assistant/STNA (Caregiver) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent

Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA (if hired as a STNA)

Experience within assisted living facility preferred

Reliable transportation

• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
