The Village of St. Edward in Wadsworth, OH, is seeking a dedicated STNA/Resident Assistant Caregiver for a 40-hour workweek on a 7am-3:30pm rotation, including every other weekend and holiday.

The role focuses on providing personal care and assisting residents with activities delegated by the nurse, in a compassionate, community-centered setting. Strong candidates will have STNA certification, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the STNA/Resident Assistant Caregiver provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA (if hired as a STNA)
• Experience within assisted living or memory care facility preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.Some positions may require every other weekend / every other holiday rotation
