Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant at Talamore Senior Living in Grand Rapids, MN. You will provide hands-on care, assist with ADLs, and support residents in dining, activities, and outings.

The role emphasizes effective communication with residents, families and the care team, with documentation and adherence to service agreements. Six months in long-term care preferred; CNA/CNA preferred; training available.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long-term care or assisted living.
• Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or CNA certification (preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in residents' best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the casemanager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands‑on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. Responsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Assistresidents with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) asindicatedon the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach andmaintainthe highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
