Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Grand Rapids, MN seeks a compassionate Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents under their service agreements.

You will assist residents with ADLs, participate in dining and activities, document daily progress, and communicate changes to the case manager. This position includes casual hours, shift differentials, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long-term care or assisted living (preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or CNA (preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the casemanager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .
