Job summary

Great Lakes Management Co. is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant in Wisconsin for overnight shifts (10pm–6am). You will support residents with daily living activities, provide care, and assist with treatments under RN guidance to enhance residents’ well-being.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long-term care or assisted living (preferred).
• Registered Nursing Assistant (NAA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
• Ability to make responsible decisions in resident care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as per service plan.
• Help residents reach and maintain independence.
• Provide physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments delegated by RN.
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to offer reassurance and engagement.
• Complete daily documentation and schedules.
• Administer and document medications per policy and doctor orders.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands‑on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. Responsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Assistresidents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) asindicatedon the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach andmaintainthe highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assistwith treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistantobservesclientsand reportschanges in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc.tothe casemanager.
• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
• Administer and document Medication per policy and Dr. Orders.

Qualifications:

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.
