Job summary

PruittHealth in Decatur, GA is seeking an Activities Assistant HCC to plan, implement and evaluate resident recreation programs in line with each patient’s care plan and under supervision.

You will assess residents, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, and schedule activities across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, adapting tasks for varying abilities and encouraging participation.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum two years of college education with courses in recreation, education, social work, other behavioral sciences or clinical services.
• Two years’ experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years, with one year full-time employment in a patient/resident activities program in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs as directed by the Supervisor.
• Interviews residents and family to develop individualized recreation programs aligned with care plans.
• Schedules activities to fit residents' hours and preferences, posts monthly calendars, and adapts activities for cognitive or physical limitations.
