Job summary

PruittHealth in Salisbury is seeking an Activities Assistant to help plan, implement, and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs for residents under the supervision of the Supervisor.

The role includes conducting assessments, developing individualized plans with the care team, scheduling activities, and ensuring residents are informed and involved, with focus on rights and participation.

Qualifications

• Requires at least two years of college education with courses in recreation, education, social work, or related behavioral sciences.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years, with one year in a patient/resident activities program in health care.

Responsibilities

• Develops individualized recreation programs through assessments and interviews to suit resident needs.
• Schedules activities to fit residents' hours and preferences across locations and events.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to implement and evaluate care plans.
• Documents progress notes and audits chart entries on Recreation Services.
• Develops and updates Recreation Services policies reflecting mission and regulations.
