Job summary

Pruitthealth Corporation in Georgia is seeking an Activities Assistant to support resident recreation programs within the care plan. You will plan, implement, and evaluate activities aligned with assessments and interdisciplinary goals.

You will interview residents and family members to tailor programs, coordinate with staff, and schedule activities across times and locations, including group and in-room options. You will document progress and help ensure resident rights and engagement.

Qualifications

• Two years college education with courses in recreation, education, social work or related fields.
• Two years’ experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years, with one year full-time employment in a patient/resident activities program in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs per patient assessments and care plan.
• Interview residents and families to develop individualized recreation programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate activity interventions as part of the care plan.
• Schedule activities across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, in various locations and including seasonal events.
• Provide activities for residents confined to rooms and for cognitively impaired residents with modified tasks and prompts.
• Record progress notes and support quality assurance through chart audits and staff feedback.
