Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking an Activities Director in Georgia to lead recreational services for residents in a long-term care setting. You will design programs, organize group and individual activities, and ensure timely communication of the monthly calendar to residents.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of college education with recreation, education, social work or related coursework.
• Two years’ experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years, with one year in a long-term care setting; or supervisory role in recreation.
• Eligible for certification as Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Activities professional.

Responsibilities

• Gather information to design Recreation programs meeting residents' needs.
• Develop and provide individual and group activities reflecting residents' interests.
• Produce monthly activities calendar for residents and inform them about upcoming events.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate Recreation staff to ensure quality care.
• Plan two annual travel trips and annual Spring Fling event.
• Assist in budget development and provide financial status to the Administrator.
