Essex Property Trust in San Jose, CA seeks a Community Account Specialist to manage all accounting operations for a community, including posting payments, Deposit Accounting, and Month End processes, while delivering excellent customer service to residents and internal teams.

The role requires a high school diploma (college degree preferred), a valid driver’s license, and one year of customer service experience. Regular office-based work with potential travel and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred.
• Experience in customer service is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilités

• Communicate with residents about move-in process, ledger balances, past move-out balances, and eviction status; resolve escalations.
• Maintain high level of customer service with residents, vendors, teammates, and corporate departments.
• Ensure compliance with company money management and accounts receivable policies; manage collection processes and delinquency notices.
• Process revenue management, Deposit Accounting, and Month End; keep systems accurate for data integrity and reporting.
• Support legal proceedings for unpaid rent (unlawful detainer, small claims, eviction).
• Assist with ad hoc requests and reports; align with Essex policies and internal stakeholders.
