Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Wichita, KS is seeking a Part-time Caseworker Assistant to support refugee integration through client intake, referrals, and service coordination. You will help with transportation, housing setup, and community orientation, ensuring access to essential resources and promoting self-sufficiency.

Under the guidance of the Initial Resettlement team, you will document interactions, maintain records, and collaborate with partners to connect clients to needed

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience with refugee/immigrant populations preferred.
• Customer service, case management, or community outreach experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-arrival and post-arrival services to assist clients.
• Support airport pickups, housing setup, food assistance, transportation, and orientation.
• Assist clients with navigating community resources and accessing services.
• Conduct client intake and assessment to identify needs and priorities.
• Develop self-sufficiency plans and SMART goals with clients.
• Provide referrals and follow up on services and appointments.
• Support distribution of direct assistance and program resources per guidelines.
• Maintain client records accurately in databases like ETO.
• Travel within service area to assist clients when needed.
• Collaborate with coworkers and partner organizations.
