Job summary

International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Tucson, AZ seeks a Caseworker to provide trauma-informed, client-centered services to recently arrived refugees and other immigrants. You will connect clients to housing, medical, social, and vocational resources while developing individualized self-sufficiency plans and coordinating with partners.

Responsibilities include intake assessments, ongoing case management, and documentation in databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Experience with refugee/immigrant populations required.
• Proficiency in English required; bilingual ability preferred.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Fingerprint clearance card per Arizona state law.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre- and post-arrival services to assist with housing, food, medical care, transportation, and orientation.
• Conduct housing set-ups, airport pickups, home visits, and field-based services.
• Purchase and transport program items; lift and deliver materials as needed.
• Conduct client intake assessments and develop self-sufficiency plans.
• Provide case management, referrals, advocacy, and coordination with service providers.
• Monitor progress and adjust service plans as required.
• Document client interactions accurately in required databases.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure access to all eligible services.
• Build relationships with community partners and grants teams.
