Additionally, you will set up and monitor production and participate in continuous improvement processes addressing safety, production, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory experiments up to kilo-scale involving hazardous materials under the direction of a chemist or chemical engineer.
• Support lab experiments, perform calculations, analyze data, maintain records, and report data accurately.
• Troubleshoot kilo-lab scale equipment.
• Perform routine lab HSE and HOS tasks.

The annual base salary range for this position is provided as a guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, candidate's experience, education, key skills, and market considerations.

In October 2024, Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business into a standalone, publicly traded company. This role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be part of this future transaction upon separation.

You Must Have

Education/Experience:

Minimum of a two-year chemistry-related degree required. For internal applicants, 5 years of total chemical operator experience, including at least 1 year in Pilot Plant. A four-year chemistry degree is valued.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to work safely with hazardous materials, including hydrofluoric acid (HF), fluorosulfonic acid (FSA), etc.
• Good chemical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to assemble, operate, and troubleshoot chemical experiments and equipment.
• Ability to learn and use analytical equipment such as Gas Chromatograph and other laboratory instruments.
• Proficiency with computer software like Microsoft Office and process control software.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move up to 600-pound drums and 250-pound gas cylinders with appropriate equipment, lift and carry up to 35 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolding, wear PPE and respiratory equipment.
• Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts.

Hours

• Training on 1st shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Post-training, transition to 2nd shift, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM for approximately 9 months.
• Subsequently, rotating shifts.
• Overtime is included.
