Job summary

Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) is seeking a dedicated associate to support RESEA, UI, IowaWORKS services, and customer interactions at the Dubuque location. The role involves delivering program components, guiding claimants, and maintaining accurate records to help job seekers access workforce services.

Experience in public contact and customer service is valued, with some telework possible after probation. Travel may be required as part of workforce program activities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of public contact work obtaining, analyzing and evaluating data with related duties.
• Employees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to twelve months of full-time work as a Workforce Associate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all required RESEA program components during scheduled participant appointments.
• Review unemployment insurance (UI) claim status with claimants and refer claim-related issues to the appropriate staff members.
• Provide claimants with required RESEA program information and guidance on program requirements.
• Verify compliance with work search requirements and ensure all work search activities are documented.
• Promote One-Stop Career Center workshops, explain available services, and register claimants for appropriate workshops.
• Conduct electronic applicant searches and evaluate qualifications against employer job order requirements to refer qualified candidates.
• Assist customers with completing and maintaining valid work registrations in the database system.
• Develop, create, and update Individual Service Plans in collaboration with customers.
• Prepare for and provide RESEA Agreement of Participation outlining program requirements and participant responsibilities.
• Update workshop materials and presentations to reflect new information, program changes, and available services.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided, appointments, participant activities, and other relevant information in the database system.
