Job summary

Iowa Workforce Development is seeking a RESEA Career Planner for the Mason City, IA WORKS office. This full-time role supports RESEA components, UI claims review, and participant guidance. Telework may be possible after probation; some travel required.

Location: 600 S Pierce Ave, Mason City, IA. Excellent benefits and a collaborative One-Stop environment. Responsibilities include delivering RESEA services, referring job candidates, creating service plans, and facilitating workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Equivalent combination of education and public contact work acceptable.
• Experience in the state executive branch with public-facing duties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all required RESEA program components during scheduled participant appointments.
• Review unemployment insurance claim status with claimants and refer issues to staff.
• Provide RESEA information and guidance on program requirements to claimants.
• Verify compliance with work search requirements and document activities.
• Promote services and register claimants for appropriate workshops.
• Develop, create, and update Individual Service Plans with customers.
• Prepare and provide RESEA Agreement of Participation outlining requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and update materials reflecting program changes.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Public sector/state government experience
