Job summary

Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) is seeking a RESEA Career Planner for the Iowa WORKS office in Dubuque, IA. This full-time position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with telework after 6 months of probation and training, and some travel required.

Responsibilities include delivering RESEA components, reviewing UI claims, guiding claimants on program requirements, and coordinating with partners to assist job seekers. Location: 680 Main St., Dubuque.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Equivalent combination of education and public contact work may substitute for education.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver RESEA program components during participant appointments.
• Review UI claim status and refer issues to staff.
• Provide RESEA information and guidance on program requirements.
• Verify work search activities and document them.
• Promote workshops and register claimants for sessions.
• Refer qualified candidates by electronic applicant searches against job orders.
• Assist customers with completing work registrations in the database.
• Develop and update Individual Service Plans with customers.
• Prepare RESEA Participation Agreements and outline responsibilities.
• Facilitate workshops and update materials to reflect changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the system.
