Job summary

Iowa Workforce Development in Des Moines, IA is seeking a RESEA Career Planner to deliver all required RESEA program components and support UI claimants. The position is full-time with a 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule.

After successful completion of 6-month probation and training, telework and alternate schedules are possible; some travel is required to serve participants at Iowa WORKS Centers. Responsibilities include reviewing UI claim status, guiding participants on program requirements,

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of full-time public contact work.
• Experience in state executive branch with twelve months of full-time work as a Workforce Associate.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all required RESEA program components during scheduled participant appointments.
• Review unemployment insurance (UI) claim status with claimants and refer claim-related issues to the appropriate staff members.
• Provide claimants with required RESEA program information and guidance on program requirements.
• Verify compliance with work search requirements and ensure all work search activities are accurately documented.
• Promote One-Stop Career Center workshops, explain available services, and register claimants for appropriate workshops.
• Develop, create, and update Individual Service Plans in collaboration with customers.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided, appointments, participant activities, and other relevant information in the database system.

Education
