Job summary

This role at Ohio Machinery Co. serves as the primary liaison for customers, salesmen, and branch staff, coordinating rental sales and support services for CAT Rental Store. You will determine customer rental needs and handle reservations to keep the fleet moving efficiently.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service, multi-tasking, and MS Office skills, plus in-depth knowledge of rental equipment applications and LDW policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years’ experience in customer service, preferred in heavy equipment rental.
• Excellent computer skills – MS Office proficiency required.
• Must understand and explain the LDW policy.
• Must communicate equipment applications and key performance specifications.
• Understands usage and applications of rental equipment and services offered.
• Thorough knowledge of common equipment failure problems and how to resolve them.
• Recognizes differences between similar products and advantages/disadvantages.
• Knowledge of construction phases to properly advise applications.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary contact for customers, salesmen and company personnel for the CAT Rental Store.
• Coordinate rental sales and support services, and manage information flow of the branch fleet.
• Determine customer rental needs and handle all corresponding rental reservations.
• Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations and timely responses.
• Assist in implementing LDW and equipment policy guidance as needed.
