Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) seeks a Renewables Market Leader to drive growth across utility-scale wind, solar, storage, and related infrastructure.

You will shape strategy, build client relationships with developers, utilities, and partners, and lead pursuit efforts across the Western states. You will collaborate with Energy Business Unit leadership and a skilled renewables team to expand market presence, manage pipeline, and ensure profitability while guiding staff through growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, construction management, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of related experience in a complex consulting, engineering, energy, renewable development, utility, EPC/EPCM, or similar organization.
• Demonstrated success achieving business development, sales, client growth, or revenue objectives, with experience supporting an expected net sales result between $2M and $10M.
• Experience leading or coordinating business development efforts, including opportunity identification, client strategy, pursuit planning, proposal development, and contract positioning.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, including utility-scale wind, solar, battery energy storage, interconnection, balance of plant, owner’s engineer, or related infrastructure services.
• Proven ability to establish clear objectives, deliver measurable results, solve complex business or project issues, and coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships, develop staff or client-facing teams, and gain support from multiple stakeholders.
• One or more professional licenses or credentials relevant to the candidate’s discipline or market focus.
• Active involvement in one or more professional, industry, or client-facing organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead DEA’s Renewables market strategy in partnership with senior leadership and technical delivery teams.
• Diversify renewables client portfolio by expanding relationships with owners, developers, utilities, and EPC/EPCM partners.
• Develop market intelligence on renewables developers, utilities, funding trends, and interconnection needs.
• Position DEA for growth in renewables and adjacent opportunities like data center power infrastructure.
• Guide pursuit strategies, proposals, and contract positioning for priority opportunities.
• Represent DEA externally at meetings, conferences, and strategic partnerships to strengthen the renewables brand.
