Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. seeks a Renewables Market Leader to direct DEA’s renewables market strategy across multiple Western states, expanding relationships with developers, utilities, and partners.

You will shape growth plans, drive client strategy, and position DEA for long‑term opportunities in wind, solar, BESS, and related infrastructure markets. You will collaborate with leadership and a technical team to build a scalable, profitable renewables practice, oversee pursuit strategies,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, construction management, environmental science, or a related field.
Minimum of 12 years of related experience in a complex consulting/engineering/energy organization.
Experience achieving business development or revenue objectives with net sales of $2M–$10M.
Experience leading or coordinating business development efforts.
Strong understanding of renewable energy markets including wind, solar, storage, interconnection, and related services.
Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and lead teams.
Professional licenses or credentials relevant to the discipline or market focus.
Active involvement in professional organizations.

Responsibilities

Lead renewables market strategy in collaboration with leadership and delivery teams.
Diversify client portfolio by expanding relationships with renewable owners, developers, EPC/EPCM, and market participants.
Develop market intelligence on renewable energy developers, utilities, funding trends, and regulations.
Strengthen relationships with renewable energy owners and developers; position for owner’s engineer and related services.
Drive BD strategy including pursuit planning, proposals, and contract positioning for priority opportunities.
Build trusted client relationships with developers, contractors, and utilities; engage as senior market leader as needed.
Support growth of renewable services including balance of plant, interconnection, storage, feasibility studies.
Ensure pursuit strategies align with staffing, delivery capacity, and profitability.
Monitor market performance: sales, pipeline, backlog, client mix, and spend.
Represent DEA at client meetings and industry events to strengthen renewables brand.
Partner on recruiting and talent development for renewables leadership.
