Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) seeks a Renewables Market Leader to drive the Renewables market strategy across multiple western states. Lead client development with utilities, developers, and partners, shaping growth in wind, solar, and energy storage projects.

You will collaborate with Energy Business Unit leadership and a technical team to expand relationships, pursue opportunities, and position DEA for long-term success in renewables and adjacent energy infrastructure markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, construction management, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of related experience in a complex consulting, engineering, energy, renewable development, utility, or EPC/EPCM organization.
• Experience achieving business development or revenue objectives, with net sales between $2M and $10M.
• Experience leading or coordinating business development efforts, including opportunity identification, client strategy, pursuit planning, proposal development, and contract positioning.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, including wind, solar, storage, interconnection, and related services.
• Proven ability to set objectives, deliver results, and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Professional licenses or credentials relevant to the discipline or market focus.
• Active involvement in professional, industry, or client-facing organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Renewables market strategy in partnership with leadership and delivery teams.
• Diversify renewables client portfolio by expanding relationships with owners, developers, utilities, and EPC/EPCM firms.
• Develop market intelligence on renewable developers, utilities, and funding trends.
• Position DEA for owner’s engineer, infrastructure, interconnection, and power delivery services.
• Guide market growth plans, client strategy, pursuit strategy, and proposal development.
• Build trusted client relationships and represent DEA at events and with partners.
• Support growth in balance of plant, substation, energy storage, and power studies.
