Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum of 12 years of related experience in a complex consulting/engineering/energy environment.
• Track record of achieving revenue objectives and growing client base ($2M–$10M).
• Experience leading business development efforts, including opportunities, strategy, pursuit planning, and contracts.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy markets (wind, solar, storage, interconnection).
• Proven ability to set clear objectives, drive results, and coordinate across stakeholders.
• Ability to build trusted client relationships and develop teams.
• Professional licenses or credentials relevant to the field.
• Active involvement in professional organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Renewables market strategy in collaboration with Energy Business Unit leadership and delivery teams.
• Diversify the renewables client portfolio and expand relationships with owners, developers, utilities, and EPC/EPCM organizations.
• Develop market intelligence on renewables developers, utilities, funding trends, and technology shifts.
• Strengthen relationships with owners/developers and position DEA for owner’s engineer and related services.
• Guide growth plans, client strategy, forecasting, pursuits, and contract positioning for renewables opportunities.
• Maintain trusted client relationships and serve as senior market-facing leader when needed.
• Support growth in balance of plant, substations, interconnection, storage, and business case studies.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure staffing, delivery, quality, and profitability.
• Monitor market performance, pipeline health, backlog, and spending on BD.
• Represent DEA at client meetings, events, and partnerships to strengthen the renewables brand.
• Participate in recruiting and talent development to grow the Renewables team.
